Each Veritas template groove cutter/inlay chisel set pairs a groove cutter with a matching-width chisel, so scoring the channel and cleaning up the groove afterward both come from the same set.

Its V-notched hook blade scores the edges of a channel, giving you a quick, clean cut to start the groove before switching to the chisel.

These sets come in 0.025", 0.032" and 0.040" widths, so the groove cutter and chisel always match the channel size you're cutting.

The set is the simplest way to get a matching pair, though the groove cutter and inlay chisel of the same width are also available separately.
