What adjustment does the micro-adjust collet provide?
One full revolution of the collet advances or retracts the wheel 1/32". A half turn moves it 1/64", and a quarter turn moves it 1/128".
Use as a depth gauge to transfer measurements.

One full revolution of the collet advances or retracts the wheel 1/32". A half turn moves it 1/64", and a quarter turn moves it 1/128".
A knurled thumbscrew locks the setting.
The cutting edge is at the extreme end of the shaft, which is useful for transferring dimensions such as tenon shoulder or mortise depth.
The gauge has an anodized aluminum body, brass face, stainless-steel rod and hardened steel wheel.
The standard wheel marking gauge uses an O-ring for friction and a thumbscrew to lock the rod position. The micro-adjust version adds a two-stage collet with a fine-pitch thread so the wheel can be moved in precise increments — 1/32" per revolution — before locking.
All three versions use the same gauge body, O-ring friction system and micro-adjust collet mechanism. The standard rod is unmarked. The graduated imperial rod reads to 6". The graduated metric version reads to 150 mm.
