This Veritas miniature edge plane is fully functional, useful for fine trimming on thin stock up to 3/8" thick, such as small-scale boxes or maquettes, not just a display piece.
The A2 steel blade is ground with a 25-degree bevel and bedded at 12 degrees, skewed at 30 degrees, matching the geometry of the full-size edge-trimming plane it's scaled from.
It weighs a mere 1.6 oz, light enough to control entirely with fingertip pressure while trimming.
