Veritas Miniature Block Plane

A block plane is a small, low-angle hand plane designed for trimming end grain, chamfering edges and other quick, one-handed smoothing tasks.

Hold it in one hand and push it across the workpiece; the low 12° bed angle and 25° blade bevel give this plane a 37° cutting angle suited to trimming end grain as well as face grain.

Despite its small scale, this miniature block plane is fully functional. The stainless-steel body, A2 blade and Norris-style adjuster work exactly like the full-size original.

It's about a third the size of the standard low-angle block plane, at just under 2 1/2" long and 3/4" wide, making it suited to small-scale work.

It comes packaged in a French-fitted embossed leatherette box, and is also available bundled in sets with the other Veritas miniature tools.
