Veritas Cornering Tool Set

One tool cuts a 1/16" radius at one end and a 1/8" radius at the other. The second tool cuts a 3/16" radius at one end and a 1/4" radius at the other. Together the set covers four of the most common edge roundover sizes.

Each tool has two fixed fences ground into the body that ride against the face and edge of the workpiece. They stop the tool from cutting deeper than the intended radius, so you automatically arrive at the finished profile without needing to gauge depth.

Yes. Because the tools are hand-held and cut without a pilot bearing, they can follow curves and irregular edges that would require a climb-cut or template with a router.

The kit includes an aluminum extrusion with the correct profiles to sharpen all four cutting radii on the two tools, plus the 1/2" inside curve profile. It also includes 600x silicon carbide paper and a wedge to hold the paper in position during sharpening.

Both. The tools cut on either the push or pull stroke, giving you flexibility to work in whichever direction follows the grain most cleanly.
