Q: How do I install the chamfer guide?

Set the chamfer width on the guide, unscrew the plane's front knob, replace the toe piece with the chamfer guide, and tighten the knob again.

It is adjustable for chamfers up to 1/2" wide.

The guide wings are fixed at 90°, which holds the plane body at a consistent 45° to the work face throughout the cut.
