The blades on the Veritas Rip & Crosscut Tenon Saws are 16" long, with a cut depth of nearly 4". These are the largest saws in the Veritas line.
The rip saw has a 9 tpi pattern with a 14° rake angle, suited to cutting with the grain. The crosscut saw has 12 tpi with a 15° rake and alternating 15° bevels that sever wood fibers rather than tear them.
The spine is molded from a mixture of stainless-steel powder for weight, glass fiber for stiffness, and a polymer resin binder. This composite construction balances the saw while maintaining rigidity.
Yes. The Veritas tenon saws are available individually — rip or crosscut — or as a set of two containing both versions.
The Veritas Rip & Crosscut Tenon Saws are made in Canada.
The blade and handle-mounting bolt are molded directly into the spine, creating a solid blade/spine/mount assembly. The closed hardwood handle is secured with a stainless-steel bolt and brass nut.
