Set the rails at the desired inset from the board edge using the adjustable clamping mechanism, then tighten the thumbscrews on the clamp rods to fix the rails in position. The rails stay at that inset for the entire length of the upright, ensuring consistent hole placement.

The design guarantees that holes are drilled at exactly the same spacing and inset on both sides. When the jig is set to the same inset dimension on each side, the resulting holes will be directly opposite each other across the cabinet interior.

Eleven bushings are included, covering sizes 5, 6, 6.75, 7, 7.5, 8 (5/16") and 9mm, plus 7/32", 1/4" and 3/8", as well as a soft bushing you drill to a custom size. Together these cover all shelf support types currently available in North America.

The standard clamp rods accommodate material 12" wide or narrower. Long clamp rods are available separately for material up to 24" wide, and extra-long rods for material up to 36" wide.

Yes. A 7mm sleeve-setting punch with a hardwood handle is included. It sets the most common European shelf support/sleeve combinations neatly into drilled holes without damaging the sleeve or the upright.
